James Wojcik has a boundless imagination when it comes to putting food in the spotlight. Like a master chef, he throws the ingredients together to form extraordinary new shapes and structures.
The photographer has an eye for detail and combines elements that could not be more disparate. When a pea pod is split open to reveal a row of gleaming pearls, a natural plant becomes a work of art. In this way, Wojcik manages to show the beauty of nature in a whole new light.
James Wojcik earned his photography degree in the 1980s from California’s renowned Art Center College of Design. His still-life photographs have been shown around the whole world, and in renowned locations such as Deichtorhallen Hamburg and the Palais De Chaillot in Paris. He works with major fashion magazines and international labels including Nike, K-Swiss, Clinique, Vera Wang, and Dolce & Gabbana.
