David Burton

British humour, a touch of nostalgia for the sixties and seventies, and the joy of taking spontaneous group pictures are all present in the work of London fashion photographer David Burton.

His campaigns shot for Alexander McQueen place him amongst the most successful young photographers of the last few years. For his editorials in leading fashion magazines he visits original locations such as the Paris Zoo, the beaches of Naples, the graffiti district of Miami and, of course, London’s East End – on the doorstep of his studio. Here he jumps straight into the hustle and bustle of daily life, finding inspiration in the flair of street activity. His images are not carefully orchestrated scenes but rather spontaneous moments of cheeky humour.
