Background Information about Willi Moegle
1897born in Esslingen/ Baden-Württemberg
Chemigraph studies, "service" in WWI and studies of typography at the School of Applied Arts in Stuttgart
1922Began his self-taught photographic career at the State Office for Monument Maintenance in Stuttgart

Opened his own atelier. Established himself through his Bauhaus inspired furniture, porcelain and glass photographs as a widely sought-after object photographer.

1937Photographed for the Federation, even continuing his work through WWII.

With a contract from Bauknecht, he began his post-war career giving him the opportunity to document German design and history in the 50’s and 60’s.
