Art Transcends Borders

Art unites, embraces diversity, and transcends all borders. This is reflected in our curated collection of over 3,000 works by 250 artists from every corner of the globe.

The idea that art transcends borders is also perfectly embodied by the work of Colombian artist Efren Isaza, whose modern reinterpretations of Mexican icon Frida Kahlo’s famous self-portraits incorporate myriad international influences.

In his Frida Kahlo series, Efren Isaza pays homage to one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Utilizing an abundance of stylistic influences and artistic techniques, Isaza reinvents Kahlo’s iconic self-portraits. In some, Frida appears stern. In others, seductive. No matter what, these works have an enchanting aura, and the passion and energy Isaza puts into each piece become palpable.
